Baptist Aid-BBCF is the
development wing of Bangladesh Baptist Church Fellowship (BBCF) which has about
100 years history in Bangladesh. After many years of relief, rehabilitation and
charitable activities BBCF initiated Baptist Aid – BBCF in 1994 for its
emergency response and development intervention. The emergency and development
projects/programs of Baptist Aid-BBCF are Church based and therefore inspired
by the Gospel values of love, mercy, respect, justice and peace.
Baptist Aid-BBCF, through its
projects and programs we covers the people of all faith irrespective of caste,
creed and religion. It serves all people in need putting more emphasis on the
children, the women, the youth and the most vulnerable groups – indigenous,
elderly, differently able people, displaced and
victims of disasters, both natural and man-made.
Besides addressing the needs of
the children, the women, the youth and the most vulnerable; Baptist Aid-BBCF
strengthens the moral and the ethical development of its members and staff.
Baptist Aid-BBCF believes, when a person morally and ethically is aware, the
development will sustain. Without moral and ethical development, justice cannot
be ensured and therefore, peace will remain as a dream. In view of the above,
Baptist Aid-BBCF gives emphasis on holistic development approach that includes
socio-economic and moral-ethical aspects.
